Ann was well known in Archbold as she worked at the Lugbill Auction Restaurant on sales days, Hess Shoe Store, Brookview Farms and for Dr. John Emch when he started his optometry practice in Archbold in 1976. She retired at the age of 77.

Ann loved Jesus, her family, Gospel music and hosting dinners for any and all occasions. She was always making friends and inviting them over to her home. She loved to cook and bake for her family and for others.

She served along with Eleanor Rychener teaching the 2-3 year old Sunday school class for many, many years. She also volunteered at the old Detwiler Hospital in Wauseon as a “cherry coat”.

Chauncey and Ann loved to vacation in Northern Michigan at Burt Lake where their family developed a love for the area as well. She will be missed by many who were the recipients of her deeds of kindness that sprung from a servants’ heart.

There will be a private family burial and service. Those of you who knew and loved Ann and her family are invited to a joyful celebration at Archbold Evangelical Church on Monday, November 25, 2024 from 4 PM to 7PM. We will celebrate her life in “Ann Style” by serving coffee and her famous sugar cookies while we share memories of a life well lived.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to CHP – Defiance Inpatient Hospice or Archbold Evangelical Church. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with arrangements.
