The Archbold Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, January 10th at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

The board first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting that took place on December 20th, 2021, followed by the December 2021 financial reports.

The board also moved to approve the submission of the current 5-year forecast and the district schedules of debt in place of the tax budget to the county budget commission.

The then and now certificate was then approved for the Defiance College at an amount of $3,800 for Rental Fricker Duals from the athletic fund.

A discussion followed regarding policy 6423. Per the policy, the use of credit cards did not yield any rebates during the calendar year of 2021. Following after, the school district calendar for the 2022-2023 school year was approved.

Emaleigh Heckel and Samuel Ruffer were then approved by the board to graduate early. The Superintendent was then authorized to solicit bids for a new school bus.

A list of paraprofessional substitutes was then discussed and approved by the board. The list was provided by the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center and is for the 2021-2022 school year. An increase of the hourly rate for student workers/casual laborer was then approved.

The increase that was given is as follows. The first year of service will go to $9.30 per hour, second year of service to $9.45 per hour, and third year of service to $9.60 per hour. Each wage was made effective as of January 1st, 2022, per the new Ohio minimum wage.

The board then moved to approve the substitute list as provided by the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center for the 2021-2022 school year.

A Resolution was then approved for Gina Benecke to fill the vacant spot on the school board. The board then moved to adjourn for the evening.
