ARCHBOLD VILLAGE COUNCIL: End Of Year Legislative Items Approved By Council

The Archbold Village Council held their meeting on Monday, December 20th at 5:30 p.m. Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting that took place on December 6th followed by approval to pay the bills and payroll in the amount of $574,132.40.

Council then discussed the Second reading of Resolution 2021-87. The resolution declared the necessity of an election on the question of approving the passage of an ordinance amending the codified ordinances of the Village of Archbold in order to provide for an increase of three tenths of one percent in the existing income tax levied by The Village of Archbold, effective January 1st, 2023, and continuing until revoked, with said increase levied to provide funds for police, fire, and ems operations for The Village of Archbold.

The following matters of legislation were then approved by council. Ordinance 2021-94 approving appropriations for fiscal year 2022 and declaring an emergency. Ordinance 2021-95 to amend appropriation Ordinance 2020-67 and declaring an emergency.

Resolution 2021-96 accepting change order number 1, final for Memorial Park Ball Diamonds Phase III Improvement Contract 6-2021 and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2021-97 authorizing the execution of the annual 2022 amendment to the indigent defense services contract between Fulton County Board of Commissioners and The Village of Archbold and declaring an emergency.


Resolution 2021-98 authorizing the 2022 annual renewal of the agreement for countywide emergency management agency and declaring an emergency. Resolution 2021-99 approving allocation from the 1% portion of village income tax for general fund operating expenses and declaring an emergency.

Council then moved on to hear committee and board meetings. Council heard reports from the committee of the whole meeting and the park board meeting that both took place on December 6th.

In correspondence a discussion was held regarding the German Township meeting assignment for 2022. Council then moved to adjourn for the evening.
