The village of Archbold is proposing a formula that would guarantee revenue to German Township for any future annexation of land.

The agreement still has to be approved by the township board, but negotiations have stalled and both sides have not been able to meet. If approved the village would pay the township an amount equal to 0.7 mill or the inside millage the township would no longer be able to collect.

The term would be for 20 years.
