ARCHBOLD – Recently, Archbold Bluestreak track and cross country athlete Sophie Rupp signed a letter of intent to further her academic and athletic career at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana.

“As soon as I went for my first visit, I just bonded with the track team so well and the coaches were all so kind. Also, Grace has an excellent education program”, said Rupp who will be majoring in elementary and special education.

This past season, Rupp placed 11th at the NWOAL Cross Country Championships last October and was first in the 400m dash and high jump at the NWOAL Track & Field Championships in May.

“I considered going to Spring Arbor but that’s just not where the Lord wanted me”, added Rupp who also belonged to the National Honors Society and was on the honor roll while at Archbold.
