Scott Baldwin, 65, of Wauseon passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Toledo Hospital. Prior to his retirement he had worked for the former Seco Manufacturing in Wauseon and also at the Figy Poultry Farm near Wauseon. Scott was born on March 14, 1951 in Wauseon to Earl and Doris (Neuenschwander) Baldwin.  He attended Chesterfield School and graduated from Wauseon High School in 1969 where he was a star baseball pitcher.  On October 6, 1967 he married Liana Barnes, who survives.  Scott was a life member of the Fulton County Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed hunting,…

Martha E. Mansfield, age 71, of Wauseon, passed away Saturday morning, April 30, 2016 at Swanton Valley Care Center. She was born in Toledo on August 19, 1944 to the late Raymond Cully and Hazel (Gill) Cully and later grew up in Alvordton, OH with her sisters. Martha retired from the Campbell Soup Company in 2004 after 25 years of service. She was a past member of the Wildwood Bowmen Club in Delta. The group presented potted flowers to Janet Follett and Jean Darby who each put in 32 years of service. The pair were part of the group that reenergized the foundation in the early 80s to build the Gillette Building. The foundation was formed in 1974 by seven men who led a fundraising campaign to build new grandstands. The mortgage for the effort was paid off in 1979. The farm produced its first crop of OhioRed tomatoes earlier this year and more is forecast in 2016. The site will one day boast several large greenhouses and warehouse facilities and employ hundreds of people. Each greenhouse covers 15.3 acres, so by the end of 2016, that will give the facility 45 acres of production.
