Barbara Gillett (1955-2022)

Barbara A. Gillett, age 66, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Community Health & Wellness Centers- Bryan.

Barb worked in the laundry at the former Bryan Nursing Care Center/Harborside Nursing Home in Bryan for 33 years before her retirement.

She was member of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233. Barb enjoyed camping, cooking and hosting family cookouts and reunions.

Barbara was born May 16, 1955, in Montpelier, Ohio, the daughter of William J. and Dorothy E. (Smith) Potts.


Barb was a graduate of Paulding High School. She married Leroy E. Gillett on April 16, 1994 in Paulding and he survives.

Barb is also survived by her children, Charles (Heather) Potts, of Oakwood, Kevin (Patricia) Gillett, of Defiance, Kerry Gillett, of Baytown, Texas, Andrea Shaffer, of Napoleon and Dallas (Heidi) Gillett, of Bryan; many grandchildren, including Draven Potts and great grandchildren, including Nona and Ezra Potts; sisters, Frances Russell, of Latty and Rose Shepard, of Paulding; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Michelle Gillett and brother, Bill Potts.


Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home starting at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Don Litchfield officiating. Barb will be laid to rest at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan in a private family ceremony.
