Barry D. Leady, 65, of rural Fayette, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 12, 1949 in Greenville, Tennessee the son of Vaine Cameron and Dorothy Vestina (McFarland) Leady. He married Norma Lynn Fredrick on October 13, 2007, in Fayette, and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2012.
Barry owned and operated Barry’s Body Shop in Fayette and graduated from Waldron High School Class of 1967. His family remembers him for his exceptional skill of painting and body work, as well as his enjoyment of “rope operas”, fishing, watching sports and his love of his dogs. Everyone enjoyed his company and he loved to socialize, especially with his family and friends. Barry attended the West Franklin United Methodist Church and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Surviving Barry are three daughters, Geiha (Robert) Harris of Oregonia, Ohio, Shawna Leady and Ben Rodgers of Battle Creek, Michigan and Heather Leady and Erin Siders of Rives Junction, Michigan; one sister, Beverly “Becky” Getz of Bowling Green, Ohio; one brother, Larry “Butch” (Judy) Leady of Fayette, Ohio and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Gary C. “Bub” Leady.
At Barry’s request cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life for him on Saturday, August 15, 2015, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Barry’s garage in rural Fayette.
