PIONEER – Opening day for the North Central Baseball Team didn’t go as planned as the Eagles hitting sticks were colder than the weather. The Eagle Nine were held hitless until the seventh inning, falling 8-0 to the Blue Streaks.
Kole Peterson started for North Central lasting three innings allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits, fanned five and walked three. Ryan Bethel threw two shutout innings giving up no hits, whiffed four and walked three. Josh Sawyer tossed one inning allowing three runs on two hits, issued three free passes, and hit one batter. Jalen Dancer finished for the Eagles allowing nothing over one frame.
