SHERWOOD – The Fairview Apaches took advantage of Pettisville fielding errors on April 4. Pettisville tried to return the favor, but their late rally fell short in a 6-4 loss on the road.

Tate Kauffman got the start for the Birds, going 4 innings and allowing 4 runs, only one being earned on 3 hits and 3 walks, striking out one. Jacob Roth went an innings and was tagged for 2 runs, one being unearned on a hit and 3 walks, fanning one. Tanner Rufenacht finished with an inning of scoreless baseball, registering a K along the way.

Cam Norris had a triple and an RBI, Jacob Roth had an RBI double, and Alex Roth had an RBI single. Dustin Nofziger had a pair of base hits, and Evan King roped a single for the 0-2 Blackbirds.
