Bridge Replacement Bids Come In Low For Fulton County Project

Four bids were opened for the replacement project of Bridge 25D.2 at the Board of Fulton County Commissioners March 28, 2017.

The bids ranged from $305,000 to $363,000. County Engineer Frank Onweller will review the bids and report back to the board.

Ten people witnessed the bid opening.
The bids received included:
• Miller Brothers Construction of Archbold: $305,255.50.
• Geddis Paving and Excavating of Toledo: $306,448.
• R. G. Zachrich Construction of Defiance: $316,001.14
• Vernon Nagel of Napoleon: $363,199.75.
The engineer’s estimate was $385,000.

The commissioners also approved advertisements for the 2017 asphalt resurfacing projects.

The engineer’s estimate is $1,426,633.85. Bids are due by 9:30 a.m. April 18 at the commissioners’ room at the Fulton County Administration room.

The commissioners approved a countywide emergency operations plan promulgation statement. The document authorizes the delegation of duties to all county personnel and departments before, during and after an emergency or disaster.

The commissioners approved the following transfer of funds requests:
The county clerk’s office requested $2,500 to purchase new chairs and carpet protectors.

The Drug Court has created two new lines and asked for $800 for supplies.

The Probation office asked for $2,321 for equipment.

The board authorized the transfer of $5,000 for Vehicle Supplies-Maintenance.
