The Bridgewater Township Trustees met June 17 at 8 p.m. to address routine financial business and discuss several upcoming road maintenance projects throughout the township.
Present for roll call were Trustees Austin Rummel, Mike Elser and Brandon Hinkle. Fiscal Officer Nicki Cogswell was absent.
Trustees began by reviewing May bank documents, including receipt and payment listings, along with other monthly financial paperwork. The board also discussed bank fees and reviewed signed checks.
The trustees noted that signed checks falling below the township’s purchase order threshold would require only documentation rather than a formal purchase order.
Road Superintendent John Doty requested authorization to purchase pallet forks for township equipment. Trustees also discussed several roadway maintenance projects planned for the summer.
Spot paving is scheduled on County Road M, approximately one-half mile north of Road R. Additional work was discussed for County Road S west of Road 8. The project will include widening the roadway and chip sealing portions of the road.
Trustees also reviewed plans for maintenance on County Road Q between Roads 12 and 13, where chip seal work is planned.
In other business, the board discussed the Kellogg property and reported they are awaiting a price estimate for cleanup of the area and drainage of a swamp.
