A clearinghouse for area food pantries will be better able to store the supplies it doles out after a gift from the Bryan Area Foundation.

The Foundation presented a check for $1,688 to the United Way of Williams County to purchase shelving and tables for the We Care Cabinet warehouse at 520 W.

Mulberry St. This was the first time the Foundation has given money to WCC, Bob Berning of We Care Cabinet said.

We Care Cabinet hands out food and other supplies to local pantries in the county on a quarterly basis. It has been up and running for a little more than a year and a half, Chastity Yoder of the United Way of Williams County said.
