Following the Pledge of Allegiance at 5 p.m. on October 18, 2022, the Bryan BPA approved
- minutes of the October 4, 2022 meeting
- clerk treasurer’s report
- resolution to authorize the terms of the Fiber-Coax Lease Payment which is paid yearly by the Bryan Communications Department to the Bryan Electric Department for the use of the Fiber-Coax Plant in the amount of $25,000
- request to place water department employee Jimmy Dunning on regular employment status
- payment of bills
Nathan Gardner, Director of Utilities, reported to the board that Eric Fenn, the muralist for the DumDum water tower, will be working on the tower later in the week and plans to have it done by Veterans Day.
He asked all government officials and board members to go get a selfie with the tower as it progresses and put their picture on the Facebook page.
Bryan Excavating will be starting a water line by the end of the week and will be done quickly.
The last house on Emmet St. has been demolished and was the last one scheduled for demolition.
The crew is working on the new power plant and are dumping the dirt that was excavated into the basement of that last house.
All board members congratulated Dunning on his new employment status and commented on how glad they are with the water tower painting project and that the artist will be in town.
They also stated how happy they are to hear that the long process of demolition of those houses is finished.
At that point in the meeting, they went into an executive session to discuss employment and compensation of public employees.
There was no action taken and the meeting adjourned.
