The Bryan Board of Public Affairs met on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 5 p.m., first approving the minutes from the September 5th regular and special joint meeting before approving the clerk / treasurer’s report as presented.
Next approved was a resolution approving a lease agreement for the use of the fiber-coax by the Bryan Communications Department to the Bryan Electric Department.
A resolution approving the re-appropriation of funds expended by the Electric Department for mutual aid calls was approved before the board heard of a Maintenance Department employee, Josh Dalton, who was requested to be promoted off of probationary status and into a higher experience bracket after a successful first year.
Impressed with his work ethic and skill, the board unanimously voted to approve the reclassification of Josh Dalton before voting to pay the bills as presented.
Mr. Dalton was congratulated by everyone present on his promotion before the board entered into executive session at 5:15 p.m.
