The Bryan City Council and Board of Public Affairs held a joint meeting at 4 p.m. on March 10, 2023.

After the pledge of allegiance, attendees began discussing the resignation of long-time BMU Clerk Laurie Rode.

Her resignation was presented to the council along with a note that she has been an exemplary employee and has provided a lot for the city.

Council moved to regretfully accept her resignation and noted that she has been one of the best clerk/treasurers that the city has ever had.

Council and the board both voted to post a position for a clerk/treasurer, and then council and the board approved Pat Buddah to serve as interim clerk.

Council and the board then wished Rode the best in her future endeavors and thanked Buddah for stepping up in the interim before adjourning at 4:10 p.m.
