BRYAN – In a contest between the two teams that shared the regular season NWOAL 8th Grade Girls Title, it was as close as it could be in the championship as well. Bryan and Delta battled back and forth in the contest with the Bryan Lady Bears finally edging out Delta 24-23. Shallyn Miley’s free throw with 56.9 seconds left broke the tie and ended the scoring for the contest.
Jadynn Cupp led Bryan with a game high 12 points. Miley and McKendry Semer each had 3 points for the Lady Bears, while Maci Tinkel, Breanna Long and Kloee Antigo each contributed 2 points.
Brooklyn Green led the Lady Panthers with 11 points. Braelyn Wymer, Brooklyn Wymer and Courtney Helton each added 4 points for Delta.
