Bryan High School Theatre students transported attendees to a fairytale land we all know and love this weekend with their production of “Shrek the Musical.”

As Shrek was followed through boyhood to marriage, themes of acceptance and belonging were highlighted to the audience, reminding us once again that Shrek stands for more than just a good movie – it is also a lesson to not judge an onion by its top layer, or a person by their appearance.

Involved in this production were Director Ben Lupo, Ryan Spiess as Shrek, Sarah Knight as Princess Fiona, Kush Patel as Donkey, Cordelia Stubblefield as Gingy, Ben Bukowski as Pinocchio, Jacob Baltes as the Big Bad Wolf, Lilly Cox, Elleah Davis, Nicholas Shutts, Ashton Sines, Teagan Grimes as Fairy Godmother, Noah Mills as Peter Pan, Emory Ehrhart as Wicked Witch, McKenzie Rigg as Sugar Plum Fairy, Jessica Federspiel, Lysette Stickney, Uriah Camarillo, Nye Bradbee, Julia Allen, Jasmyne Jones, Aericke Knapp, Lexi Nieves, Grason Butler, Owen Davis, and Tristyn Durdel.
