Bryan Kiwanis Learns Details Of Xenia Tornado Outbreak

WEATHER TALK … The speaker at the July 31, 2024 meeting was long time Kiwanian Dan Cline (pictured). Dan spoke about the importance of remaining vigilant about the tornado threat that Ohio is under in the spring and summer months. Additionally, he spoke about the super break out of tornadoes that occurred in 2012 with Xenia, Ohio receiving the brunt of those storms. Wind speeds of up to 300 miles per hour were reported and estimates of 315 to 335 deaths were reported in Xenia. He also brought video footage of the storm as well as citing numerous stories both good and bad about what happened to residents of Xenia.
