OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL PRESS RELEASE (Updated 11/11/24 @ 9:30am)
Jefferson Township – The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on November 10, 2024, at approximately 3:18 P.M. The crash occurred on County Road I east County Road 15.50 in Jefferson Township, Williams County.
Gerald C. Bogan, age 89, of Bryan, Ohio was driving a 1998 Lincoln Towncar eastbound on County Road I. Mr. Bogan failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Mr. Bogan was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
The Patrol was assisted on scene by Williams County Sheriff’s Office, Williams County Emergency Medical Service, Bryan Fire and Rescue and Hutch’s Towing.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds all motorists to always wear safety belts, and to never drive impaired or distracted.
