ATTRACTING BUSINESSES TO AREA … The Bryan Rotary Club learned about bringing business and industry to Northwest Ohio from Matt Davis of Regional Growth Partners. RGP, a 100% privately led group serving 17 counties in Northwest Ohio, offers a full range of traditional business development services, working in conjunction with JobsOhio, a state created corporation leading Ohio job creation efforts. Because it is not a state government entity, it works as the speed of business and receives no tax dollars. Davis pointed out the benefits of the NW Ohio region- population of 1.2 million, workforce 600,000, average income $64,000, 60% of North America is a one-day drive, good transportation with Interstates, trains, and airports, and 40 schools of higher learning in a 60 miles radius with 220,000 undergraduates. Davis, Vice President of Real Estate, works with sites and building, identifying spec buildings and shovel-ready sites to fit the needs of industry and businesses.
