Christmas For Kids In Fulton County: Spreading Holiday Cheer

October 23, 2024Updated:October 24, 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

As the holiday season approaches, Fulton County’s Police and Fire/EMS Departments are reigniting the spirit of giving with their cherished program, “Christmas for Kids in Fulton County.”

This initiative is designed to foster positive relationships between first responders and children in the community, especially those whose families are facing financial hardships.

Building Bonds Through Giving

“Christmas for Kids in Fulton County” is more than just a holiday program; it is a bridge that connects first responders with the community’s youth.

By spending quality time with children, the program emphasizes the importance of sharing, giving, and the role of positive role models in youth development. The program aims to break down barriers and build a trusting relationship between first responders and the community.

How the Program Works

On December 7th, selected children will gather at the Wauseon Police and Fire Departments at 9:00 am. A festive convoy of patrol cars, fire trucks, and ambulances will escort the children, lights flashing and sirens blaring, to Walmart.

Each child, supported by generous sponsors and private donations, will receive a Walmart gift card valued between $100-$150.

Accompanied by their first responder escorts, the children can shop for gifts for themselves and their families, creating a memorable and joyful experience.

How You Can Help

Community members can contribute to this heartwarming cause through cash or check donations. Checks should be made payable to the Wauseon Area Foundation with the memo: Christmas For Kids-Fulton County.

Donations can be mailed or dropped off at 230 Clinton St. Wauseon, OH 43567, Attn: Christmas for Kids – Fulton County.

Donors will receive an acknowledgment for tax purposes at the end of the year. For cash donations, please provide your name and address for acknowledgment.

The community is encouraged to “like” and share the initiative on Facebook by searching for the Wauseon Police Department page.

For more information, contact Officer Croninger at Wauseon Police Department via email at WPD2689@wauseonpd.com or call 419-335-3821.

Join hands with Fulton County’s first responders to make this holiday season special for children in need, and witness the joy of giving and community spirit in action.
