The Center Township Trustees met in a regular session on Tuesday, April 21 at the Trustee Office.
Trustees present were Ryan Muehlfeld, Matt Grube and Julie Davis. Also present were Fiscal Officer Terry Collins, Zoning Inspector Todd Burkholder and Cemetery Sexton Kurt Roan.
Following the approval of the minutes of the April 7 meeting, Burkholder reported that the new online zoning maps would cost the township $1,000 and a $30 monthly maintenance fee per discussion with the trustees.
Trustees will be contacting The Gerken Companies of Napoleon to obtain a price estimate for wedge coating work on the township building parking lot.
Muehlfeld made a motion to purchase a water fountain from Stark’s Plumbing & Heating, Bryan. They haven’t responded about purchasing and installation. The water fountain will be installed in Davis Hall by Greenler Plumbing and Heating, Bryan.
Following an executive session, the township approved the hiring of Sheila McGill as the new road supervisor effective April 20, 2026.
Muehlfeld then made a motion to pay bills totaling $18,010.13 with Davis seconding the motion, and it was approved.
NEW BUSINESS
Trustees were informed that a John Deere service technician recently had worked on both township tractors. The technician recommended a new head gasket for one of the tractors.
