The Wauseon movie theater, Skye Cinema, has major changes in the works. First and foremost, new reclining seats will be taking the place of the current seats in four of the auditoriums.
Currently, the plan is to focus on these four rooms first and switch over the other ones later.
New food options will also be coming to the theater. The concession stand will remain where it is now with a new kitchen and dining area planned for the area near where the exit is now.
The building will be expanded to include this full kitchen and an outdoor area will be placed where the current posters are located to the right of the entrance.
A refreshing is also planned for the lobby. Reclaimed wood will be used to give it a nice look and a bar area will be placed where the games currently are.
Half of the lobby will be sectioned off for the new dining area where new food options will be available to eat in the dining area or in the theaters during the movies.
Beer and wine options will also be available. The theater is looking to voters on November 8th in order to add liquor options to their menu.
Currently, work on these changes is expected to take place in January.
