Charlene Shaw-Heisler (1953-2019)

Charlene B. Shaw-Heisler, age 65, of Ney, Ohio, went home at 11:14 P.M. on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Charlene was an owner, manager and beautician at Shawnee’s Salon in Bryan for many years. She was a member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene. Charlene enjoyed gardening, landscaping, cooking and interior design. She was a good friend to her neighbors.

Born July 9, 1953 in Bryan, she was the daughter of Gene E. and Helen E. (Votaw) Shaw. She was a graduate of Bryan High School and Ravescroft Beauty School.

Charlene is survived by her sons, Blake (Christina Scantlen) Heisler and Blaine Heisler, both of Bryan; grandsons, Aiden Heisler and Keedan Schaffer; sisters, Patricia (Greg) St. John, of Silver Springs, Florida and Charlotte (Michael) Shaw-Uran, of Bryan; half sister, Donna Plummer, of Warsaw, Indiana; several nieces and nephews, Kelly (Kerry Frank) Strup, Jesse (Robbin) Strup, Mindy (Derek) Strup-Kummerer, Nathan (Kathryn) Strup, Johnathan Strup, Christopher M. (Beth) Uran and Matthew E. (Kylee) Uran and special friends, Beth Struble, Debbie Smith, Kathy Heisler, Mark and Greg St. John. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019, from 2:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Funeral services will be held the Bryan Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastors Mary Ann McCord and Rick Stiver officiating. Burial will follow in Shiffler Cemetery. 

Memorials are requested to Cancer Assistance of Williams County or to the Shriner’s Hospitals.
