AYERSVILLE – The Hilltop Lady Cadets ran into a buzzsaw at Ayersville on the opening night of the Holiday Tournament on December 27. The Lady Pirates of Continental brought the intensity early, staking them to a lead that they would never surrender as they went on to drop the Lady Cadets by a 61-47 score.
Hannah Bleikamp had 16 points to lead Hilltop, while Jackie Smith had 12 and Cierra Carpenter 7 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. Sam Lillemon had 6 points and 6 rebounds, Emily Armbruster added 4 points and LeAnn Joost had 2 points.
