CPC Woman’s Health Resource held their 38th annual Spring Benefit this past weekend. The event took place at the Archbold Evangelical Church on Tuesday, April 16th at 5:30 p.m.

Registration for the event cost $10.00 per adult, with those under 18 being allowed in for free. Guests were treated to dinner at 6:00 p.m., with a program following at 7:00 p.m., presented by Executive Director Bryce Asburg of Helping Hands Pregnancy Resource Center of Hillsdale, Michigan.

According to Executive Director Mark Pitman, this annual event gives CPC the opportunity to speak to the community as a whole.

A report is given as well, but the fundamental goal is to spread awareness of what the organization is and does for the community. In addition to the keynote speaker, every year stories are shared from nurses and clients that related to success stories the organization has experienced.

“This is not only a communication piece, but an opportunity for those there to see the value in what we are doing, and to invest as we go,” said Mr. Pitman.

Music for this year’s event was put on by a String Quartet, and the meal was served by local church youth members.

An online auction was also held, with items being located on-site for everyone to see. Those wishing to place a bid for the item took the information off of a sheet and placed their bid online.

For those who may not know, the CPC Woman’s Health Resource Center is a pro-life organization that serves the four counties of Fulton, Williams, Defiance, and Henry. Its goal is to help women who may be dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, and the challenges that come with that. Questions are answered and classes are offered, along with some medical help as well.

In addition to helping with pregnancies, CPC also offers free pregnancy tests, STD testing, counseling, education classes, mentorship, and material assistance regardless of age, race, religion, or ability to pay.

All services are free and confidential, with help being offered to women, men, and children in a judge-free environment. These services are free to those looking for them but are paid for by donations made by those in the community.

Executive Director Mark Pitman would like to put forth his heartfelt gratitude for all those who have and will continue to help in this regard.
