On April 12th, at the Four County Career Center, over 110 Cub Scouts from around the Four County area that competed in the District Pinewood Derby Race.
The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts in the Boy Scouts of America. Cub Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, using kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. It was a great day in which sportsmanship was first class!
Congratulations to those Scouts that have qualified for the council race taking place on May 10th for the 13 county territory.
Thank you to Greg Brown, Pinewood Derby Chair, and his team from Hicksville that made this event possible, Troop 216 and Pack 28 and a big thank you to the Four County Career Center for allowing the scouts to utilize their facility.
