DEFIANCE, OHIO-In a rematch of a game from earlier in the season, Ottawa-Glandorf’s defense shutdown Delta as they held the Panthers to just five field goals and forced 16 turnovers to move on with 49-21 win. These two teams met back on January 23rd with Ottawa-Glandorf winning 51-37.

Ottawa-Glandorf jumped to a quick 4-0 lead before Delta got on the scoreboard with a pair of foul shots from Reagan Rouleau to make it 4-2.

Trailing 6-2, Delta’s Brooklyn Green tallied four straight points with two free throws and then a field goal to tie the game 6-6.

The Titans though would end the quarter on a 7-1 run as Chloee Glenn had a three-point play, Katie Kaufman was 2/2 at the line, and Kelsey Erford had a bucket to make the score 13-7 after the first quarter.

Despite Delta going just 1/3 shooting with seven turnovers in the opening quarter they were able to stay in the game by going 5/6 from the free throw line.

Braelyn Wymer started the second quarter with a triple, Delta’s only points of the quarter, to trim the lead to 13-10.

Ottawa-Glandorf began to take over at that point as they ended the first half with a 13-0 run led by seven points from Erford to take a 26-10 lead at the break.

The Panthers shooting woes continued in the second quarter as they were just 1/7 from the field to finish the first half 2/10.

Meanwhile for the Titans, they began to warmup from the floor by going 6/11 and outrebounded Delta 7-2 in the quarter.

The Ottawa-Glandorf offense was out of sync to start the second half, but Delta was only able to generate a free throw from Green and Khloe Weber to cut the lead to 26-12.

The Titans got back on track with an 8-2 spurt after two baskets from Erin Kaufman, an offensive rebound putback from Glenn, and a hoop by Myra Aldrich to build their lead to 34-14 heading to the final quarter.

The Titans scored seven straight points to start the fourth before a free throw from Green made the score 43-15.

The Panthers would get their first field goal of the second half late in the fourth from Wymer.

Delta (17-7) on the night finished 5/26 for 19% from the floor and was 10/16 (62%) at the foul line. Green had eight points to lead Delta while Rouleau and Wymer had five points each.

Ottawa-Glandorf, who was 19/41 (46%) shooting, was paced by Erford with a game-high 16 points and ended with a 28-13 advantage on the glass.

The Titans (24-2) will take on Columbus Africentric (11-2) in the regional finals on Saturday night in Lexington.
