Beloved mother and educator, Mary Ann Lepisto, of Delta, Ohio, passed from this realm onto her final rest on March 1, 2021. Mary Ann (or Mary) was born to Floyd E. and Evelyn A. Holdren in April 1938 in Sylvania, Ohio, graduated from Ohio University, and taught at Rosary Cathedral, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and Scott High School in Toledo, Ohio.

Mary was an avid gardener and crafter, a devoted reader of science fiction and thrillers, and a keen watcher of butterflies and birds.

She also raised five children–Eva (John) Lepisto/Paolini, Eric (Vafa) Lepisto, Joshua (Karen) Lepisto, Jennifer (Steve) Reau and Jeremy (Lynda) Lepisto, each of whom has found success in their personal and professional lives.

Mrs. L. was valued by colleagues and neighbors along with a host of former students as a caring, helpful, inspirational, and occasionally daunting friend and mentor.

Her cherished memory will live on through her brother, Terrence E. Holdren, her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren Christopher, Isabel, Alexander, Dominic, Evan, Leyla, Sona, and Archer.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that you support your local library or nature preserve and then share a meal and a moment with someone you love.

A memorial service for Mary will be held later this summer.
