Dale M. Morr, 87, of Pioneer passed away Monday morning at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Bryan.
He was born July 13, 1930 in Delta to H. Ford and Florence (Miller) Morr. Dale graduated from Waldron High School in 1948. He then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. On October 8, 1955 he married Joan M. Kemarly in Pioneer and she survives.
Dale was a member of the Pioneer Nazarene Church since 1955. He worked as a grinder, for 36 years, at Mohawk Tool in Montpelier from 1956 until its closing. He then worked at the Montpelier Auto Auction as a driver for 10 years. Dale enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing cards and bowling. He also enjoyed visiting with friends and especially loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joan; one son Steven (Julie) Morr, Sr. of Pioneer, four grandchildren, Andrea (Neil) Duncan, Steven Morr, Jr., Adam Ridgway and J. Thomas Wynne, five great grandchildren; three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren; one sister Janet Geraghty of Pioneer.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Ellen Wynne, four brothers Wayne, Leroy, Charles and Walter Morr, and sister Kathleen Kosier.
