Darrel S. Brown, age 59, of Wauseon, with his loving family by his side; passed away Friday evening, December 9, 2016 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. He was born in Christian County, KY on August 27, 1957 one of six children to the late Donald S. Brown and Betty (Lee) Brown. On January 4, 1986 he married Elizabeth Kohli in Phoenix, AZ and she survives.
Darrel was recently program coordinator with The Ridge Project and before becoming disabled, previously worked in plumbing and heating for Bushes and Von Deylen Plumbing and Heating. He enjoyed working with youth and adults through the Ridge Project, a prison ministry. Two of Darrel’s favorite hobbies were woodworking and fishing; but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially playing games.
Together with his wife of 30 years, Beth, they were blessed with four children, Jensine (Arron) DeAnda, Joshua Brown, Angelica (Lukas) Phillips and Nicholas Brown; grandchildren, Mekyal Brown-Fifer, Harmony Blake, Gabriella DeAnda, Remington Phillips and Xavier DeAnda.
Also surviving are his brothers, Dale, Daniel and Donny (Tina) Brown and sisters, Karen (Bud Cook) Brown and Karla (John) Milam; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Christ Community Church, 20172 Co Rd X, Ridgeville, Ohio 43555; where a memorial service honoring Darrel’s life will begin at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family from which they will designate a charitable organization in the future.
