David G. Bennett, 86 of Pioneer passed away on November 1, 2024 at Hillside Country Living in Bryan.
He was born on November 16, 1937 in Hillsdale County, Michigan to Clifford and Dorothy (Barr) Bennett.
David retired from Universal Products in Pioneer after 20 plus years driving delivery trucks. Prior to that he was employed at Ohio Art in Bryan for over 20 years. He had a love for being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing being his favorite activities.
David is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Chris Mack) Logan of Defiance and Linda (Jerry) Short of Fayette, grandchildren Adam (Stephanie) Logan, Amanda (Charles) Fockler, Amy Waterston, Kyle (Mandy) Short, Kurt Short and Kody (Harley) Short; great grandchildren Asia, Nanci, Scarlett, and Mercy; and great great grandchildren Avrin, and Archer. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary A. (Coler) Bennett, and brother Richard Bennett.
Visitation hours will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 from 4-7:00 pm at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer. Services will be on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Kennedy to officiate. David will be buried at Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.
