The Delta Chicken Festival brought three days of food, entertainment and community fun to Delta from Thursday, July 9, through Saturday, July 11.
The annual festival once again gave residents and visitors plenty to enjoy throughout the weekend, with activities ranging from chicken dinners and midway attractions to live music, sporting events, a car show and the traditional festival parade.
Festivities began Thursday evening with the crowning of the Chicken Festival Prince and Princess, followed by the opening of the midway.
Visitors enjoyed inflatables, food and concession stands, bingo, wagon rides and the festival’s popular chicken dinners.
The celebration continued Friday with another evening of midway activities, bingo and wagon rides, along with the Nate Parsons 3v3 Basketball Tournament and a performance by the DHS Marching Band.
The Forrest Family Band provided live entertainment later in the evening before fireworks lit up the night sky, giving festivalgoers another memorable end to the day.
Saturday featured the busiest schedule of the weekend, beginning with the Delta Chicken Run and the Dreamers Car Club annual car, truck and motorcycle show. A pickleball tournament also helped get the day’s activities underway.
Crowds later gathered for the festival parade, held under the theme “Cheers to 70 Years at the Delta Chicken Festival,” marking the event’s milestone anniversary.
Following the parade, visitors continued enjoying chicken dinners, midway attractions, a petting zoo, sand volleyball, cornhole, bingo, an alumni baseball game and a 3v3 soccer tournament.
The Muddy Maumee River Band provided live entertainment Saturday evening, while the Delta High School All Class Reunion gave former students an opportunity to reconnect during the festival weekend.
With a packed schedule of family-friendly activities, food and entertainment, the 2026 Delta Chicken Festival once again brought the community together for a weekend of celebration and fun.
