GROUP TOUR … Delta FFA members tour Trillium Farms, an educational stop focused on large-scale agricultural production, on Thursday afternoon during the chapter’s state FFA convention trip.
The Delta FFA Chapter traveled to Columbus to attend the State FFA Convention from April 29 to May 1, 2026.
This exciting three-day trip allowed students to practice leadership skills, explore agricultural careers, and receive recognition for their achievements.
The chapter’s journey began on Wednesday morning, April 29, as members gathered at the Delta Ag Shop to pack the vehicles.

The group then departed for a full day of educational industry tours. The first stop was Arlington Cape, where students learned about the physical and chemical processes used to transform raw hides into leather products. Next, the chapter visited the Wilson Football Factory to see how a modern manufacturing facility operates.
After concluding the daytime tours, the members enjoyed a group dinner at El Campo Mexican Restaurant.
They then checked into the Drury Inn and Suites Columbus and spent the evening playing games and eating snacks together during a team-building activity at Topgolf.
On Thursday, April 30, the students dressed in their blue-and-gold Official FFA Dress for a busy day at convention.
They spent the morning at the Ohio Expo Center exploring the FFA Career Show and Expo, where they networked with agricultural business representatives, trade schools, and college recruiters.
Members also attended interactive leadership workshops at the Bricker Building to learn about communication and community service.
After eating a quick lunch, the chapter traveled to Trillium Farms for an educational tour focused on large-scale agricultural production.
The group finished the afternoon with recreational activities at Slick City Action Park before returning to the hotel for dinner and an evening chapter meeting.
Delta FFA members earned several spots on the main convention stage throughout the week.
On Thursday, Gracyn went on stage during the charitable giving segment of the first general session, which also featured a keynote speech by Brad Hurtig.
On Friday morning, the chapter returned to the Ohio Convention stage for the fourth session, where Melanie and Ana both walked across the main stage to receive special officer awards.
The highlight of the convention took place on Friday afternoon during the fifth session at the Celeste Center. Claire, Gracyn, and Melanie all walked across the stage to receive their State FFA Degrees, which represents one of the highest honors an FFA member can achieve.
After the degree ceremony concluded, the members met outside the building to take group pictures. They then changed into casual clothes and began the drive back to Delta High School.
The chapter gives a special thanks to adult chaperones Maria Gilders, Amanda Siewertsen, and Dennis Savage for volunteering their time to guide the students on this successful trip.
