Delta High School began their 2022 Homecoming Court Ceremony on September 30 before the game against Swanton.
First announced was Freshman Attendant Ellie Martinez. Ellie is the daughter of Jodi and Miguel Martinez.
Unfortunately, Ellie’s father Miguel was deployed for the military and was unable to be with her at the cermony.
Ellie is a member of the volleyball team and can’t wait to play basketball and softball for the Panthers this year.
She also serves as the Vice President of the freshman class. Ellie is an active participant of the Udder Chaos 4-H club where she recently showed her dairy cow at the Fulton County Fair.
Ellie is also a member of her youth group at the Delta Church of Christ. Her hobbies include listening to music and coloring.
When she is not spending time with her three younger brothers, she likes hanging out with her friends in her free time.
Ellie plans to attend college after graduating high school and would like to earn a degree in education to become a teacher.
Her favorite part of high school so far has been going to the football games and she is looking forward to attending future sporting events at DHS.
Ellie’s escort was freshman Tyler Ruple, son of Nate and Tracy Ruple.
Next was Sophomore Attendant Trinity Nation. Trinity is the daughter of Jerami and Lynette Nation.
Trinity has been very busy this fall as she is a member of both the volleyball team and golf team.
In the spring, Trinity is a member of the track and field team. She is active in the Spanish Club and Kindness Club.
Trinity is also a member of the Tail Wagers 4-H club where she recently showed chickens at the Fulton County Fair and also serves as a camp counselor.
In her free time she loves going to the lake and spending time with friends and family.
Trinity would like to attend college after high school where she plans to study to be a veterinarian.
So far her favorite memory of high school was the 2022 track season.
Trinity is looking forward to making more memories with her friends this year and creating new friendships.
Trinity’s escort was sophomore Caiden Eater, son of Richard and Emily Eater.
Junior Attendant Hannah Barnes was announced next. Hannah is the daughter of Eric and Jennifer Barnes.
Hannah is a member of both the varsity soccer team and track and field team. She is involved in the Spanish Club and National Honors Society.
As well as being the treasurer of the junior class, Hannah serves as the treasurer and secretary of the Delta FFA chapter.
In the winter months you can find Hannah at the wrestling matches where she is one of the mat maids.
In her free time she enjoys trapshoot and traveling along with spending time with her family and friends.
After high school, she plans to attend college but is unsure whether she would like to pursue a career in the medical field or in agriculture.
Hannah’s favorite memories of high school are cheering on all the sports teams and her freshman year English class.
Hannah is really excited about this year as she is one year closer to the end, as she is ready to make big girl money.
Hannah was escorted by her older brother, senior Holden Barnes.
The next Junior Attendant was next Sydney Churchill. Sydney is the daughter of TW and Christina Churchill.
She is a member of the varsity volleyball team. Sydney is active in the Spanish Club, Kindness Club, Student Council and SADD.
She is also the secretary and student council representative of the junior class.
Outside of high school, Sydney plays travel volleyball for Athlete HQ and is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church group.
In her free time, she likes going to the lake or beach where she enjoys sitting in the sun.
Sydney also loves spending time with her friends, family, and her boyfriend. Sydney is hoping to continue her athletic and academic career in college where she would like to major in psychology.
Her favorite memories of high school have been attending football games and lock-ins.
Sydney is looking forward to playing volleyball with her team this year as well as making memories with her classmates.
Sydney was escorted by her boyfriend, senior Caleb Lantz, son of Tom and Hope Lantz.
Senior Attendant Gretchen Culler followed Sydney. Gretchen is the daughter of Danny and Kelly Culler.
She is a member of the varsity volleyball and track and field teams. Gretchen is extremely active at DHS as she is a member of the Spanish club, kindness club, student council, SADD, FFA and national honor society.
Gretchen also serves as not only the President of the senior class, but also president of the student council and Spanish Club as well as the treasurer of SADD.
Outside of school, Gretchen is an active member of True North Church. In her free time, she enjoys baking, watching Netflix, hanging out with friends and being a part of the hot tub club.
After graduation, Gretchen plans on attending Trine University where she will be studying to become a biomedical engineer.
Her favorite memories of high school have come from hot tubbing after basketball games and track meets.
She is really looking forward to making the most of her senior year!

Senior Attendant Layla Stickley was up next. Layla is the daughter of Dustin and Jenny Stickley.
Layla is the captain of this year’s golf team and a varsity cheerleader. She is an active member of the student council, Spanish Club, Kindness Club and National Honors Society.
Layla serves as Vice-President of both the senior class and student council.
Last year she participated in her first school musical. Layla is busy during the summer months working at a local golf course.
In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, golfing and baking for her teachers and classmates.
After high school she is planning to attend college where she would like to study early childhood education.
Layla has a lot of great memories from high school, but a few of her favorites are from her golf team, prom, the musical and the annual lock-ins.
She is looking forward to figuring out which college she would like to attend as well as attending her senior prom and all the other senior activities.
Layla’s escort was Senior Bryar Knapp, son of Doug Knapp and Jamie Knauss.
The next Senior Attendant was Khloe Weber. Khloe is the daughter of Shane Weber.
She is a four-year varsity volleyball and basketball player. Khloe is a member of the art club, Spanish Club, National Honor Society and student council.
She also serves as student council representative for the senior class. In her free time Khloe enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends.
She plans to go to college where she would like to study to become a dental hygienist.
Khloe’s favorite memory of high school has been playing sports as they have played a large role in who she is today.
Through sports she has learned how to work as a team, be a leader, manage her time and have good communication skills.
Volleyball and basketball have also given her the opportunity to build strong relationships. Khloe is really looking forward to graduating high school.
As sad as it will be to see everything come to an end, she is ready to start her next journey in life.
Khloe would like to thank the class of 2023 and for them to know she has enjoyed every moment she has shared with each one of them and she would like to wish everyone the best of luck in all their future endeavors.

Delta High School chose Gretchen Culler to be their 2022 homecoming Queen. After crowning the queen, Delta proceeded to beat Swanton with a 70-7 final score.
