A ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the new office location of Dennis Apartments this past week.

Put on by the Wauseon Chamber of Commerce, the event saw several other local business owners and representatives in attendance, along with officials from both the city, county, and school.

Located at 132 South Fulton Street, the office now serves as the primary location for Dennis Apartments.

This follows the sale of Mrs. Dennis Potato’s, which was the previous office location for the apartment side of the business. With that sale, a new office location was needed.

It was then that this building, which Mr. Dennis described as an extra building owned by the Barber, Kaper, Stamm, McWatters, Whitlock & Maloney, LLP group, was purchased to serve as the new office location.

Dennis Apartments is run by both Tim and Suzanne Dennis. The pair first started their run with rental units back in 1987 when they purchased an up-and-down duplex. The two lived in the downstairs half and rented out the upstairs half.

They then later bought a second duplex and a couple of triplexes and kept growing from there. More locations were bought as they became available until it was time to start building apartments in 2000.

The two started with just one unit in 1987 and have grown to a total of 530 dwelling units as of right now. These dwellings are located in Delta, Wauseon, and Fayette.

An additional project is even in the works for either this coming fall or early spring on Glenwood in Wauseon.
