Donny Charles Blackmer, 42, of Fayette, died Thursday, August 16, 2018, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo. Born May 28, 1976, in Lapeer, MI he was the son of the late Thomas Gawne and Sue Ann Bellamy.
Donny was employed by Armstrong Excavating for many years and most recently for E.S. Wagner in Oregon, OH. He was member of the Local 500 Labor Union in Toledo. Donny enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He especially loved spending time with his family.
On December 29, 2006, Donny married the former Danielle Devloo, and she survives. He also leaves behind four children, Chelsea Blackmer of Cass City, MI, Tyler (11), Hunter (8) and Brody (5), all at home. He is additionally survived by his brother, Mark (Bunny) Blackmer of Hawaii; in-laws, Tina (Steve) Snider of Fayette and Daniel Devloo of Waldron; siblings-in-law, Jennifer (Shawn) Evans of Somerset, MI, Stephenie (Phillip) Byers of Alabama, Derek (Melissa) Devloo of Cleveland, and Michael (Audra) Snider of Phoenix, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 1-5 p.m. at the Eagle Funeral Home in Fayette. Private interment will take place in Pleasant View Union Cemetery.
