Doreen E. MoeningDoreen E. Moening, age 69, of Delta, joined her loving Lord Jesus Christ early Saturday morning December 26, 2015; when she was called home at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon. Doreen was born in Napoleon on October 26, 1946 to the late Edwin Lantz and Gertrude Amstutz.  She graduated from Pettisville High School.  On August 24, 1968 she was united in marriage to Robert Moening and together were blessed with three children, Jodi, Joel and Jeremy.

Doreen was a Licensed Practical Nurse and served with several physicians until her Multiple Sclerosis limited her work practice.  Most recently she assisted Dr. Both’s office in Toledo for over 15 years.  Along with being an LPN; for 26 years she helped coordinate children church activities and musicals while following her husband’s pastoral ministries at various churches.  Doreen loved to observe God’s ways in the world and as a hobby enjoyed collecting angel figurines.

Along with her husband of 47 years, Robert, she is survived by her children, Joel (Molly) Moening of Defiance, Jeremy (Nicole) Moening of New Haven, IN and Jodi (Adam) Demaline of Delta; grandchildren, Drake, London, Aariyana, Ella and Jagger; sister, Karin (Jerry) Cramer of Ft. Wayne, IN and sister-in-law, Pauline Lantz of Pettisville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Lantz.


Friends and family may call from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Swan Creek Community Church, 812 Main St., Delta, Ohio 43515; where funeral services celebrating Doreen’s life will begin at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday.  Pastors John Horning and Jerry Cramer will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Swan Creek Community Church in her memory. Arrangements are entrusted with Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website at www.barnesfuneralchapel.com.
