(Longtime Edon Resident)
Dorothy L. Prince-Bodie, age 91, of Bryan and a longtime resident of Edon, passed away early Sunday morning, July 6, 2025, at Hillside Country Living, near Bryan.
Dorothy was a homemaker, seamstress and bookkeeper for Prince Logging. She also worked as a sales clerk at J. C. Penny in Angola.
Dorothy volunteered at the Montpelier Senior Center and loved making quilts for her grandchildren. She attended Metz Christian Church.
Born May 13, 1934, in Iowa City, Iowa, Dorothy was the daughter of Francis and Lillian (Hartley) Wood.
Dorothy and Noah were blessed with 6 children, Bill (Mary) Prince, of Edon, Sharon Wilson (Ken Tooman), of Cincinnati, Carol (Bob) Flynn, of Bluffton, IN, Lynn Mohre, of Angola, IN, Kenneth (Diane) Prince, of Edon and Judy Olis, of Angola, IN; stepson, Jim Prince, of Angola, IN: 17grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Noah Prince and Richard Bodie; brothers, John, Dwayne, Jim and Tom Wood; and sister, Barb Teeters.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, Ohio. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with celebrant Sherrie Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery.
Memorial donations are requested to the Edon Athletic Boosters or the Northwest Township Ladies Auxiliary.
