PIONEER: February 15, 2014 – As Homecoming King Clayton Ferguson led his North Central Eagle teammates to the locker room to lace ’em up prior to the February 15 game against the Edgerton Bulldogs, no one could imagine what was coming at the opening tip.

The theme for Homecoming Night, ‘Fire and Ice’, turned out to be more a prophecy than a mere theme. North Central came out brutally cold to supply the ice, and Edgerton couldn’t miss, bringing a torch to the Homecoming celebration with a 60-27 blowout.

The Bulldogs pitched an 18-0 shutout in the first period, and by the time the intermission rolled around, the Eagles were down 32-4…their worst offensive display in years.

The barrage continued into the third when Ferguson led the Eagles back to life, but the second half efforts were more than countered by the Bulldogs that were still attempting threes into the fourth period.

Ferguson led the Eagles with 11 points, while Jordan Reeves and Dylan Hutchison each had 5 points, and Brady Zuver, Jordan Bailey and Josh Roesner each had 2 points.

SCORING BY QUARTER:

Edgerton 18 14 16 12 – 60

North Central 0 4 7 16 – 27
