Edgerton High School held their Winter Homecoming celebration this past weekend. The event took place on Saturday, January 27th at 7:00 p.m. between the JV and varsity basketball games. The members of the 2024 Edgerton Homecoming Court were as follows.
The first queen candidate was Clara Gerschutz. Clara is the daughter of Mark and Erin Gerschutz, and sister to Henry. During Clara’s high school career, she has been involved in FFA, FCA, FEA, Spanish Club, Student Council, NHS, Class Officer, Track, and basketball.
In Clara’s spare time, she loves reading. listening to music, doing puzzles, playing Minecraft, and shopping. Clara’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Manning, and her favorite class is Calculus. After graduation, Clara plans to attend Saint Mary’s College with a major in Chemistry.
Clara’s escort was Owen Roth who was a stand-in for Shaun Murphy. Shaun is the son of Stephen Murphy and Amy Fordeck. He has 3 siblings: Hannah, Liam, and Logan. During Shaun’s high school career, he has been involved in FFA, Wrestling, and football.
In his spare time, Shaun enjoys hunting and playing with his dog. His favorite class is Historical Media, and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Manning. Shaun’s plan after graduation is to join the workforce. Owen’s plans after graduation are currently undecided.
The second queen candidate was Ella Miler. Ella is the daughter of Jerad and Danielle Miler. During her high school career, Ella has been involved in NHS, FCA, FEA, Spanish Club, Volleyball, Softball, and Pageant.
In her spare time, she enjoys taking naps, playing with her dogs, volunteering around her community, and shopping. Ella’s favorite teacher is Ms. Rendleman, and her favorite class is CCP Human Body.
After graduation, Ella plans on attending the University of Toledo majoring in Biology, and then later applying for an undecided medical school to become a pediatrician.
Ella’s escort was Isaiah Rupp. Isaiah is the son of Dan and Kathy Rupp. He has five siblings, Tirzah, Miriam, Faith, Lily, and Charity. During his high school career, Isaiah has been involved in Baseball, Basketball, and Football.
In his spare time, Isaiah enjoys writing, hunting, spending time with family, and investigating current events. His favorite class is Government, and his favorite teacher is Mrs. Burklo.
Isaiah’s plan after graduation is to take a gap year or two to collect money and then possibly pursue an undecided college with an interest in stocks, business, and entrepreneurship.
The third queen candidate was Kennedy Stuut. Kennedy is the daughter of Dawn Fitzcharles. She has one sibling, Kole. During Kennedy’s high school career, she has been involved in Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, FCA, FEA, Student Council, and NHS. In her spare time, she enjoys playing sports, traveling, camping, hiking, and doing spontaneous activities.
Kennedy says she loves all of her teachers past and present. However, if she was forced to choose, she’d say Ms. Schaffner. Her favorite class is CCP STATS.
After graduation, Kennedy will be attending Huntington University as a Nursing Major, then Pediatric Doctor.
Kennedy’s escort was Kaden Kennerk. Kaden is the son of Toby and Tiffany Kennerk. He has one brother, Esten. During Kaden’s high school career, he has been involved in FFA, Spanish Club, NHS, Basketball, Baseball, and Golf.
In his spare time, he enjoys hunting, golfing, riding four-wheelers, and spending money. His favorite class is welding, and his favorite teacher is Mr. Burris. Kaden is currently undecided on his plans after high school.
The fourth queen candidate was Kayt Timbrook. Kayt is the daughter of Dan and Heather Timbrook. She has two siblings, Nate, and Josh.
During Kayt’s high school career, she has been involved in Spanish Club, NHS, FCA, FEA, Class Officer, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Cheer, and CHWC. In her spare time, she loves to travel, shop, and take naps.
Kayt’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Cooley, and her favorite class is American Sign Language. After graduation, Kayt plans to attend Miami University and major in Speech Pathology.
Kayt’s escort was Elijah Martin. Elijah is the son of Ken and Terry Martin, He has one sibling, Elizabeth. During his high school career, Elijah has been involved in FEA, Spanish Club, Football, Baseball, and Wrestling. In his spare time, Elijah enjoys playing video games.
His favorite class is Personal Health, and his favorite teacher is Mr. Gilliand. Elijah’s plan after graduation is to attend college to study Criminal Justice.
The final queen candidate was Anna Vermillion. Anna is the daughter of Debra and Daniel Vermillion. She has five siblings, Alexis Vermillion, Adam Vermillion, Rachel Vermillion, David Vermillion, and Danielle Vermillion.
During her high school career, Anna has been involved in Student Council, Quiz Bowl, Speech and Debate, Band, Spanish Club, Yearbook, Musical, Cross Country, and Track.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, baking, and spending time with family. Anna’s favorite class is AP Chemistry, and her favorite teacher is Ms. Rendleman.
After graduation, Anna is planning on majoring in Biology on a pre-physician’s assistant track at an undecided college.
Anna’s escort was Landon Perry who was a stand-in for Kenyon Burke. Kenyon is the son of Tiffany Patrick and Robert Burke. He has one sibling, Alannan.
During his high school career, Kenyon has been involved in Band, Choir, and Quiz Bowl. In his spare time, Kenyon enjoys Music and technology-related activities.
Kenyon’s favorite class is Band, and his favorite teacher is Mr. Krill. After graduation Kenyon plans on attending Bowling Green State University, majoring in Computer Science. After graduation, Landon plans to enter the workforce.
Last year’s Winter Homecoming Queen and King were Ashley Hug and Blake Flower. Ashley is attending Trine University and is majoring in Chemical Engineering. Standing in for Blake is his brother Jackson Flower. Blake is currently employed in the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer.
The kindergarten attendants were Abigail Fockler and Clayton Fish. Abigail has one brother, Braxton. Her favorite color is purple, and her favorite book is “Hedgehugs”. She also enjoys the TV show Little Mermaid.
Clayton has three siblings, Dominic, Casen, and Gracie. His favorite color is orange, his favorite book is “Pete The Cat,” and his favorite TV show is Paw Patrol.
It was then time to announce this year’s Homecoming Queen and King. This year’s Queen was Kennedy Stuut, and the King was Kaden Kennerk. Each of the students were presented with a crown to wear before posing for pictures.
