The Edgerton Park Board met on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 5 pm. Park Board Committee members that were present were Camie Hicks and Abby Witsaman. Bill Swank and Chris Sanchez were absent.

Mayor Bob Day, Dawn Fitzcharles, Denise Knecht, and Lance Bowsher were in attendance, and a few community members.

For park discussion, Fitzcharles presented a slideshow with the current updates to the village parks and Brownfield Remediation Project property.

Miller Park has and is receiving many exciting upgrades. The park had a drainage problem from a broken tile resolved and the playground equipment was painted.

The disc golf course is being constructed with six holes in the woods. Trash cans will be replaced at all village parks and charcoal grills and dog clean-up stations will be added.

Another exciting upgrade to Miller Park will be the new shelter house. The plans include views of the pond and an area where a tent could be placed if the planned venue is larger.

This new shelter house brings an affordable option to the area for events and the additions to the park will bring people in and tournaments held in the village benefit all the local businesses.

The meeting adjourned at 5:20 pm.
