Students stepped into a glowing fairytale Saturday evening as Edgerton Local Schools hosted its 2026 prom, themed “A Night Under the Lanterns.”
Many students also arrived in style, pulling up to the venue in everything from classic cars and stretch limousines to tractors and even a fire truck, adding a fun and uniquely local touch to the evening before they made their way inside.
Guests entered beneath a canopy of twinkling lights and flowing black drapery, following a winding purple carpet through arches draped in cascading lavender and white florals.
Hanging lanterns and soft greenery created the feeling of an enchanted garden overhead, setting the tone for an elegant night of celebration.
A handcrafted display inspired by Tangled greeted attendees, complete with a decorative boat, shimmering “water,” and a small wooden bridge wrapped in ivy and lights — a favorite photo spot for couples and friends throughout the evening.
Round tables dressed in white linens were accented with lavender chair sashes, sage napkins, and glowing centerpieces surrounded by petals and greenery.
The warm lighting and thoughtful details transformed the space into an intimate, storybook setting for dinner, dancing, and memories with classmates.
From the lantern-lit ceiling to the floral-lined walkway, the junior class and volunteers created an atmosphere that brought the theme to life, giving Edgerton students a prom night straight out of a fairytale.
