The Edgerton Water Tower is showing signs of change as crews work to ensure the safe update of the village water systems.
This project, brought about by an inspection in 2020 that pointed out the issues with the current facilities and equipment related to an industrial tank built in 1969, and an older yet riveted tank that was constructed in 1937.
The village has been preparing for a project relating to these issues since 2015, and has prepared to ready abrasive blasting, equipment repair, replacement, and installation to problem areas associated with these tanks.
Village Administrator Dawn Fitzcharles noted that they “have been planning this project since the early spring of 2021 and are incredibly excited and grateful to get this improvement completed for our community.”
