A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on August 1, 2025, to mark the official opening of Raising Exceptional Children (REC) Dayventures on 108 South Michigan Ave, Edgerton, Ohio.

The licensed daycare welcomed families and community members to celebrate the launch, following its first official week filled with fun, food, games, and learning.

From storytelling and sensory play to outdoor adventures, the center embraces its mission to make each day magical.

Owned and administered by Megan Cornell, REC Dayventures aims to provide a safe, joyful, and enriching environment where children can grow and thrive. After receiving its childcare license in mid-July, the center officially opened its doors on July 21, 2025.

Cornell, originally from Defiance and a current member of the finance team at Matsu in Ohio, shared her excitement about bringing her long held vision to life.

With a background in small business and a strong passion for children’s development, she expressed gratitude for the support received. Cornell notes that enrollment is already filling up quickly!

With REC Dayventures now officially opened, the journey of raising exceptional children is off to a bright start.
