Edith M. Dutridge, age 79, of Wauseon, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 17, 2016 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. She was born in Iberia, Missouri on December 21, 1936 to the late Golden Brockes and Opal (Fancher) Brockes. Edith was one of several children including her twin brother, Redith “Tuffy” Brockes who also preceded her in death. On March 10, 1956, she married Tom L. Dutridge, who survives.
Edith was a homemaker by choice and loved caring for her husband, children, and later spending time with her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as having a talent for singing gospel music and playing the guitar.
Along with her husband Tom of 60 years, Edith is survived by her daughter, Beverly (David) Denbow of House Springs, MO; son, Dale (Denise) Dutridge of Swanton; daughter, in law, Janet Dutridge; grandchildren, Heather and Daniel Denbow, Wendy (Jeff) Bach, April Cline and Jessica (Kyle) Parsons; great grandchildren, David, Abbey, Jenna, Alyssa, Katlyn and Karter.
In addition to her parents and brother, she was preceded in death by her son, Rodger W. Dutridge in 2011.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Chapel, 5825 St. Hwy. 109 in Delta; where a funeral service honoring Edith’s life will begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday. Pastor Dave Westmeyer will be officiating.
