Edon ACME Boys Sweep Two From Hilltop

EDON – The Edon ACME baseballers welcomed in Hilltop on June 3 for a double dip of summer baseball, and wound up taking both ends of the twin-bill, 6-1 and 6-2.

Game #1
Kaden Sapp allowed an earned run  and struck out six, and Brock Thiel and Landon Bloir each reached for extra bases for Edon. Bloir had a single and a triple, Thiel had a single and a double, and Sapp, Caleb Mason, and Heath Brown had singles.

Logan Brooker fanned ten in the loss for Hilltop. Nic Schieber had a double, while Q. Smith, Miklo Abner, Justin Ashenfelter and Jesse Westfall had a single apiece.

Game #2

Colton Lyman allowed a run and Floyd Young went three scoreless innings to lead Edon to the game #2 win. Sapp had a double, Thiel had a triple and two singles, and Bloir, Heath Brown, Jake Brown and Dustin Kessinger each had a base hit.

Jalen Towers took the loss for Hilltop, allowing 5 runs, 4 earned in 2 innings of work. Schieber had a single for Hilltop.
