EDON: April 10– The Edon Bombers opened the 2014 conference season with a dominating performance over the Stryker Panthers on April 10, cruising to an easy 12-2 victory to move to 1-0 in BBC play.
On the mound for the Bombers, River Wicker earned the win, going 5 innings giving up 3 hits and 2 runs. Wicker also fanned 10 Panthers in the win while allowing just 2 base on balls. Offensively, Landon Bloir had the hot bat, recording 3 hits in the game and bringing in 2 runs. Wyatt Zulch went deep for a round tripper, while also slamming a double; Kaden Sapp and Jacob Brown also recorded doubles for the Bombers in the win.
In the loss for Stryker, Parker Ruffer suffered the setback on the mound, giving up 10 runs. Chad Ruffer also saw action, giving up 4 hits and allowing 2 runs.
