Edon Lady Bombers Blank Fayette To Advance To Round 2 Sectional Play

EDON:  May 12- The Edon Lady Bombers played host to visiting Fayette to open round one of Division IV Sectional play on May 12, recording the shutout 15-0 in a 5 inning game  to move to round 2 on May 15.

Kaitlin Chrisman went the full 5 inning s for the Lady Bombers, allowing no runs and just 6 hits on the afternoon.  Chrisman also recorded 4 K’s in the playoff win while walking no batters in the game.

Hannah Jacoby led the way with a huge afternoon offensively for Edon, powering out a double and accounting for 4 RBI’s on the day.  Kaitlyn Manahan also had a nice afternoon with a double and single in the victory.

For the Lady Eagles, it was a tough afternoon on the road with Leah Bussing taking the loss on the mound.  Also for Fayette, Presley Pennington connected at the plate for 2 single base shots in the loss.

Edon will travel to Hicksville on May 15 to take on the GMC’s Lady Aces in a 5:oo o’clock showdown in round two action.
